遊戲早期的開發畫面,幾乎都是黑白的

嗯?怎麼畫面又灰又簡陋,難道Heaven是一款黑白遊戲?

你有過某些遊戲操作很難、又或者讓你充滿困惑的經驗嗎?這牽扯到遊戲開發很重要的一個項目——使用者介面(User Interface)。一個好的遊戲介面,會讓初次遊玩的玩家感到舒適、容易操作。

「我的這個按鈕放在這邊好按嗎?」、「我的HP條畫成這個形狀,玩家看得懂嗎?」、「介面上的資訊,可以直觀的被理解嗎?」——遊戲UI設計師的日常總是充滿這些思考。

所以囉,不是我們不想畫美麗的圖,在思考怎麼讓畫面變美之前,更重要的是先不斷修改介面,直到它合乎玩家的操作需求為止呢!

(想當初OPUS也是看起來很陽春的樣子呢!)

Well, you may have the experience of being troubled or confused by a game's interface. When it comes to User Interface, a good UI makes the information of a game easier to understand for players.

A UI designer is constantly asking questions like “Is it okay to put the button here?”, “Will the players know what it is if I draw the HP bar this way?”, or “Is the instruction here easy to understand? ”

So, at the early stage of game development, an interface that allows users to interact with your game successfully, is more important than its appearance!
