「シャッターを押せば、君とさよなら。」
『OPUS: Prism Peak』は、写真をテーマにしたアドベンチャーゲームです。
プレイヤーは「ボウの地」に迷い込んだ中年の写真家となって、記憶を失った少女と2人で協力して、カメラを通して隠された世界の謎を解き明かしながら、「帰り道」を見つけ出す旅をします。
ゲームの特徴
神の火鉢
カメラのレンズを連想させる造形の神の火鉢は、異なる世界間をつなぐ装置であると同時に、ボウの地の神秘が秘められています。主人公は炎の中から燃え上がる文字を解読し、正確な写真を撮影することで旅の手がかりを見つけ、アイテムや新たな撮影スキルを取得できます。
撮影システム
物語は主人公が機械式フィルムカメラを操作しながら進んでいきます。理想の一枚を狙うためには、正しい構図、タイミング、感光の度合い、フォーカスを見極め、場面によってはフィルターを切り替える必要があります。
本作における写真撮影は、主人公がどれだけ真剣に「世界を見つめる」かを表現しています。幻想世界の細部まで気を配り、神霊たちの真意を読み解くことで、この世界の秘密を明かすことに繋がります。
ノスタルジーあふれる不思議な世界
この世界は現実社会を彷彿とさせるものの、人類の姿はなく、「神霊」と呼ばれる言葉を話す動物たちが暮らしています。
主人公がこの世界と真剣に向き合うにつれて、人類が消えた理由とこの世界の存在する意味が解き明かされることでしょう。
共に旅する少女
ボウの地で主人公・ユージンが出会う記憶喪失の少女。彼女が唯一覚えているのは、「ムメイ山」にある家へ帰らないといけないということ。
彼女は旅の相棒として主人公と行動を共にします。
彼女ははたして無事に故郷へ帰ることができるのか――そして、彼女はなぜこの地に来たのか？
ボウの地研究ノート
誰が書き残したか不明の古い撮影ノート。そこにはボウの地の栄枯盛衰の歴史と、断片的な古の神話が記されています。
主人公が旅の途中で見つけた手がかりを元に、写真撮影しノートに収めることで、神霊たちの正体が明らかになり、神話の断片をつなぎ合わせることが可能となります。
また、ノートに記された「神火文字」と呼ばれる謎の文字を解読することが、ボウの地に秘められた真相により近づける鍵となるでしょう。
神霊たちとの絆
旅の途中で出会う動物の姿をした「神霊」たちは、主人公との交流によって関係値が変わります。主人公の選択が、物語の結末を左右することも。彼らとこの世界を、心を込めて見つめよう。
